PETROL-CNG

CNG systems for petrol cars

Afroautogas offer a wide range of CNG car systems dedicated to the newer vehicles, and the older ones as well. Elpigaz CNG installations always fulfil rigorous quality and technical requirements despite of cars’ age, which it is assembled in.

Complete branded Elpigaz installations guarantee proper working in vehicles, which are assembled in.

The principle of operation of a piston combustion engine is simple and has not been changed since the beginning of the automotive industry. In a low-pressure (gasoline) engine, the fuel-air mixture fed into the cylinder chamber is compressed, and then a spark occurs on the spark plug. The piston is then actuated and the crank mechanism not connected to it sets the crankshaft in rotation. This movement through the remaining mechanisms that drive the car’s wheels.

The gas fuel supply does not interfere with the operation of the engine. Gasoline is fed to the engine via injection. The gaseous fuel is transported in a volatile form to the intake manifold and then to the secondary chamber (cylinder) in an alternative gas-air form. The mixture is introduced into the cylinder through suction valves.

Gas is injected in large quantities for control purposes, i.e. available to everyone who is independent. This system allows for very detailed gas administration for each cylinder. Gas fuel injection, which starts the engine, allows for maximum optimization of its operating parameters.

How it works?

CNG cylinder

CNG high pressure steel cylinders  are used for storing the fuel mixture of compressed natural gas for engines in cars, delivery vehicles, lorries and buses.

The working pressure of the cylinder is 20 MPa. A periodic increase in the value of this parameter to 26 MPa is allowed, e.g. right after refueling. The hydraulic pressure of each manufactured CNG tank is set at min. 30 MPa.
